In this tale of immigration, love and translation, a man sits on his balcony listening to French-language cassettes and making colourful fishing lures. As his wife works around him, she persists in asking if he will be leaving tomorrow. How will he communicate his true feelings when faced with the changes to come tomorrow at noon?

Griffintown has been an industrial area since the 19th century. At its peak, it was home to factories, metal workshops, breweries, printing plants, shipping companies and other industries. Its industrial decline began in the first half of the 20th century and was hastened by the complete closure of the Lachine Canal in 1970. This decline spurred the loss of a large number of jobs and the demolition of many buildings. As a result, the area now has high development potential, especially since many industrial buildings of heritage interest have been spared from demolition.

The story of a young graffiti writer marking her way through Montreal’s graffiti art sub-culture. Her diaristic accounts unfold through her self-discovering narration which is delivered as a soliloquy unbeknown to her. Robby Reis is currently developing a feature length version of Suha.

Suha premiered at Les Rendez-Vous du Cinema Québecois in February 2010 and has since screened at the ND/NF festival in NYC (hosted by the MoMA & Lincoln Center), the Philadelphia Independent Film Fest and the Calgary Underground Film Fest.

The metropolitan is a experimental fiction film that combines architecture, travel and love. The love story takes place in seven underground subway systems around the world. The film is characterized by colours and poetry witch depict themes on life in transition. Visually the film consist of a montage of 35 000 pictures from several hundred subway stations as we follow the protagonist in his search for true love.
